Easy make up look-red lips in the daytime

Hmm, can I wear red lipstick in the daytime?

Yes! Wear a red lip in the daytime, why ever not?..Having nice make up and hair helps me feel ready to start my day, get out of the house and do something. I’m not saying I wouldn’t be seen dead without it and do have minimal make up and even make up free days but I always feel good when I wear a red or bright lip during the day, especially if it’s a nice day and the sun is shining.

This particular red is Guerlain Rouge G de guerlain L’Extrait Lipgloss (why are the french ones always such a mouthful!) for me it’s pretty much ultimate packaging porn and has the nicest, poshest silver casing I think I’ve ever seen and it comes with a mirror, bonus! It’s a gloss but it’s a semi matte velvet finish which I personally feel is easy to carry off than a full on glossy red pout. I teamed it with a quick simple neutral eye and black liquid liner with a very slight flick at the corners. This look took me less than 10 minutes and I piled my hair up in to a bun which I think goes better and looks less try hard than hair down.

Products used:

Nars tinted moisturiser in ‘Alaska’ here
Nars radiant concealer in ‘Chantilly’ here
Chanel bronze universel here
Urban Decay naked 2 palette here (I used ‘foxy’ all over lid and ‘tease’ in the crease)
Clinique gel eye liner in ‘black’ here
YSL babydoll mascara in ’01 black’
Guerlain gloss in ‘Luxure’ here

Wearing red or bright lippie is all about having the confidence to carry it off. So throw caution to the wind and slap it on ladies! I promise you, your complexion will look brighter, your teeth will look whiter and you’ll get a strong but wearable look with minimum effort.
