I’m a finalist in the BiBs awards! A thank you and (sort of) plea…

Amy Treasure

I’ve slogged away on this blog for so many years. I’ve been utterly and completed devoted to it but I’ve also wanted to break up with it several times, because honestly, keeping up the momentum is really bloody hard. I’ve poured my heart out on these pages and laid myself bare lots of times. I’ve done this because writing my blog has been a hugely cathartic process and not only that it’s enabled me to reach out to others that might have found themselves in the same situation as me. Be that leaving a cult (!) commiserating over how it really feels when your children grow up, losing your shit over your teenage daughter getting a boyfriend, suffering through domestic violence, battling for years with infertility or saying goodbye to breastfeeding.

We’ve been through so much together, haven’t we?!

And if you’re not around on social media – you won’t even realise that there are these blog awards coming up, and they’re kind of a big deal (read: huge, HUGE deal)

And me? I’ve been shortlisted as a finalist in the family category, and well, I’d really like to win. So I’d like to ask you a favour. I’d love it if you’d vote for me, please.

I’m writing this today, not just to ask for your vote but to say a massive thank you for sticking with me all these years. For reading my words, for resonating, for telling me you feel the same. And most of all for letting me know: “You’ve got this mama” because if it wasn’t for YOUR words of encouragement, your empathy, your outpouring of love. I really wouldn’t still be slogging away.

That is why I do this. That is why I blog.

You can find the voting form here, just enter your name and email at the top and scroll down to the ‘Family’ category. Find my name ‘Amy Treasure’ tick the box and submit. Thank you so much if you decide to vote, and as always, thanks for reading. It really means the world!
