Life lately {prom, summer evenings and getting ready for our holiday}

Hellloooo!

It feels like an absolute age since I’ve written one of these posts. I haven’t really stopped to take a breath workwise since Christmas. The blog has been full-on with lots of exciting campaigns, anyone who does this for a living will know (and hopefully understand!) that it’s unbelievably hard trying to blog about real-life in between the heavy workload and I’m long overdue for a catch up so here it is…

Holly has finished her exams – woohoo! We now wait nervously for the results (eeek) and she starts college in September where she will be studying Psychology, English Literature, Law and Photography. Holly had her end of school prom last week and she looked absolutely stunning. I just couldn’t believe my eyes and I kept nearly bursting into tears when taking photographs of her. I dropped her off with her group of friends and I admit I did have a good old weep in the car on the way home, I actually had to pull over at one point, it was such an emotional day! She also turned 16 a few days after (and got her nose pierced!) so it’s been a crazy but exciting few days.

We’ve been quite lucky with the weather here in Bristol, and even though Justin and I are often knackered at the end of the day we’ve been making a real effort to go out for evening walks with Rose. She’s at nursery 3 days a week and it’s so nice to spend a bit of family time together.

Rose walking in the woods

There’s acres and acres of woodland behind our house and always a new walk to discover. Rose’s favourite thing is to find the castle in the middle of the wood and then walk down to the stream and throw pebbles in.

The most exciting news of the moment is we go to Levante, Greece on our Mark Warner holiday next Saturday. I still have to pinch myself when I think about the day I found out I’d been chosen as a Mark Warner Mum! I can’t wait to go on our summer holiday and I’ve been buying a few new dresses, sandals (my fav Saltwater ones pictured below) and stocking up on bikinis as well as lots of bits and bobs for the kids. We are so looking forward to some R&R but also can’t wait to enjoy all the action Levante Beach Resort has to offer, we’ll be windsurfing, snorkelling, playing tennis and loads more. I can’t wait to see all the kids faces when they realise how much there is to see and do.

So that’s all from me, for now. This time next week my Instagram should be a very sunny place, I apologise in advance for the holiday spam now ;-)
