On the first day of Christmas: Lumie Iris Bodyclock review and giveaway

Review of lumie Iris Bodyclock 500

Hello and a very merry Christmas to all my lovely readers!

Today marks the first day of my 12 days of Christmas giveaways. I have some amazing prizes up for grabs that I have organised as my way of saying thank you for reading, sharing and supporting my blog, it means a lot.

On this extra special day, I have a wonderful prize to giveaway to one lucky reader. I was so delighted when Lumie reached out to work with me and offered a prize worth £160.00 for my big Christmas giveaway. As regular readers will already know I don’t sleep well at all. I have a toddler who is up and down all night and only settles in my bed and I myself have terrible problems winding down at night after long evenings spent catching up on work. Most mornings I feel like a zombie and as though I have sand in my eyes when I get my early wake-up call from Rose, I feel tired a lot of the time, which makes me less productive and down right miserable.

Review of lumie Iris Bodyclock 500

It doesn’t help that it is so dark in the mornings and my body never gets the chance to wake naturally. The Lumie Bodyclock Iris 500* is the newest product in the Lumie range and gives you the option to drift off with a sunset and wake up with a sunrise.

Your very own sunset and sunrise, sounds positively dreamy doesn’t it?

Not only does the Lumie Iris encourage your body to sleep and wake naturally it has two aromatherapy chambers, which is such a clever addition to an already innovative design. I was sent a beautiful lavender oil to help me wind down and destress at bedtime and a wonderfully zesty lemon to invigorate in the mornings.

The Lumie Iris would make a welcome addition to any bedroom and work brilliantly whatever your decor. It comes with a remote which makes the setting up even easier; you can tailor the clock to wake you up whenever you choose, you might want it later on the weekends than during the week and so on. There is a very simple set of step by step instructions, that even I can manage!

I honestly couldn’t wait to try mine out and I wasn’t disappointed. The Lumie Iris is safe to use with young children, aromatherapy can be very soothing for a restless toddler and it does wonders. The diffuser works by giving out a subtle and gentle scent transporting me back to lying in a field full of beautiful lavender on a warm summer day, it’s just amazing what emotions our senses can evoke.

Asleep in a field full of lavender

We co-sleep most nights and so I set the sunrise for around the time I anticipate Rose will wake up and it’s incredible and very effective. I can’t believe what a difference the clock has made, I no longer feel as though I have been wrenched out of sleep but rather woken gently, well, apart from the little fingers prodding me and the voice that says (read: shouts) ‘mama wake up it’s morning time!’ it’s such a refreshing feeling and Mr T is absolutely loving it too, we have both said we couldn’t be without it now. Thank you Lumie for giving us the gift of restful sleep this Christmas.
