Regular readers will know I had the great pleasure of beginning a collaboration with Swisse earlier in the year when I hot-footed it down to the big smoke to meet none other than superstar extraordinaire Alesha Dixon. I began taking the Swisse Women’s Ultivites as a trial, recording my findings along the way with a video diary.
In the sixth months since I started working with Swisse, I have continued to take the Women’s Ultivites because I’m just so impressed with them. I added in Swisse Hair, Skin and Nails which are equally fab.
I’m delighted to be part of the Swisse Families campaign because I love the products and I tell everyone who’ll listen how brilliant they are including converting my hairdresser and, most recently, the three people (including my own sister) that messaged me after I posted the below snap on Instagram asking me if I’d had botox, yes really!
For the record, I have not had any botox.
As part of my collaboration with Swisse I am extremely lucky to get one on one consultations with Rick Hay: a top Nutritional Physiologist and ‘The superfoodist’. Rick is an Anti-Ageing Food and Fitness Nutritionist and will be on hand to share all his expertise with me and my family-so I can share it with you-and help get us all get into tip top shape.
I must say having Rick’s know-how at my very fingertips is amazing for me, and I’m hoping this collab will give me the kick up the backside I need to get back on track. I’ve had a quick chat with Rick already and I ended the conversation feeling really motivated. I explained to Rick that I am an ‘all or nothing type of girl’ as in; I will go to the gym 6 times a week flat out and not allow a morsel of naughtiness past my lips (hello, I did the zero sugar challenge for crying out loud)
I will not go to the gym for weeks on end and sit surrounded by half eaten dairy milk and cans of diet coke. I am fully committed or languishing slob. No in-between.
I know, I know.
It sounds just as bad as it is, but I’m determined to have a real good go at letting the inner ‘healthy-me’ flourish. I also really want to be the best example I can be to my children and I’m not ashamed to admit I need a little help with that.
As you know I already take the Swisse Women’s Ultivites as well as Hair, Skin and Nails. I’ve been sent some Herbal Sleep Aid which is so effective at helping you drift off yet doesn’t leave you with that groggy-run-over-by-a-bus feeling. Rick has given me a questionnaire to fill out and will tailor vitamins specifically to my family’s needs as well as recommending super foods and a healthy diet plan.
I am REALLY into superfoods-as yet only in theory-I have read a lot about the different powders and so on, but it is a bit of a minefield, knowing where to begin, what works, what we need etc so I’m grateful that Rick will personally advise me what will be effective for us.
Not only are we benefiting from Rick’s help, the whole family is going to be getting up to lots of healthy and fun activities starting with Swisse helping to prepare us for our upcoming ski trip with Mark Warner (where physical fitness and endurance is a must) by sending the whole family on a ‘learn to ski’ course to get us ready for the slopes.
Sssh, don’t tell anyone, but I can’t actually ski…
So, this isn’t just going to be a partnership about vitamins, it’s going to be about a total lifestyle overhaul and I hope you’ll all join me and follow along to see how we get on.
You can find the Swisse range of vitamins exclusively at Boots.
