Review: Betavivo crispy heart oat heart cereal and COMPETITION
18 Mar 2015
I love breakfast! I am an early riser and so by 7.00am I’m always hungry and ready for something nice to eat. The mornings are a real rush in Chez Treasure. With two teenagers and a toddler to get fed and organised I want to make sure that we all eat a decent breakfast but don’t want to get stuck into having the same thing day after day.
I like to mix it up between something hot-like eggs with toast or something cold. My something cold this week has been Betavivo* a Swedish crispy oat heart cereal proven to reduce cholesterol.
Each sachet of Betavivo provides 3g of beta-glucan, the daily amount needed to reduce cholesterol. To gain the same benefits from other products like porridge, you would need to eat three bowls and we are not living in the same street as goldilocks so that would be impossible!
I have been having mine with greek yogurt and a fruit compote that I made from some frozen berries I had lying around in the freezer. I think you’ll agree it looks delicious. It tastes lovely too and I’m impressed with the way it’s kept us all going throughout the morning.
It’s also worth noting that recent research suggests we should start thinking about our heart health earlier on, in our 30s – as every decade an individual has high cholesterol it increases their risk of heart disease by almost 40%. Eek! I’m 34 so definitely fit into this category, I’m happy to eat this cereal for the health benefits and also who could pass up heart shaped anything?!
Betavivo have very kindly offered one reader of Mr and Mrs T Plus Three a whole month’s supply (that’s worth £30!) all you need to do is enter on the Rafflecoptor below.
UK entrants only please. Betavivo are responsible for sending out the prize. If you visit my Facebook page as part of the entry you don’t have to like or share to be entered (but that would be rather lovely) Facebook are not affiliated with this competition.
*I was given samples of Betavivo in exchange for an honest review, all thoughts and words are as always my own.
