Tackling bed wetting with DryNites® #Ad

For the last five months we’ve been working with Drynites® who have been helping us to be super confident at dealing with any night time bed wetting. Rose has been dry during the day for around 10 months. She’s only three and a half so at her age it is completely normal for there to be bed wetting, in fact 1 in 4 4 year olds are still not dry. Bed wetting is actually a perfectly normal part of growing up and affects more than 900,000 children and young people in the UK.

I’ve had lots of feedback on social media from readers that have used Drynites® to help their own children feel confident at night time and I couldn’t be more impressed by the product itself and also the wealth of information and support on the Drynites® site.

We’ve had some brilliant expert advice just when we needed it and I hope that by following our journey you’ve picked up some tips to help you and your little ones.

I’m delighted to announce that Rose has been dry at night for the last month. We had got to the point were Rose made the decision whether or not to where the Drynites® pyjama pants and one evening she just decided not to. This went on for a week and then a month and now she is dry! It’s just been lovely to see that whether she wore the pyjama pants or not she felt totally confident at bed time and in turn filled me with lots of confidence too.

I’m keeping hold of a pack of Drynites® just in case we need them, as it wouldn’t be uncommon for Rose to go through a period of time when she might feel she needs that extra security and reassurance at night that comes from wearing the pyjama pants. The great thing about them is that they look and feel just like real underwear, they’re super absorbent and a great solution for a toddler that doesn’t want to wear a nappy.

You can see the other blog posts documenting our journey below, each has an accompanying video diary. As always, if you have any questions or concerns feel free to get in touch and I will do my best to help.

We use drynites – great little product! We swapped to them after other brands we had tried were leaking in the night. We hardly have any leaks with these. P.S. Well done, Rose! It’s a big step being dry at night :-) #TheList

We use drynites. My daughter particularly loves the Cinderella and Frozen ones! Good product. She still isn’t quite ready to go without at night time…I’m hoping she will decide to go without by herself in the next couple of months. Well done to Rose! Great achievement.

Oh good work Rose! This is awesome, I’ve heard so much good stuff about DryNites – I don’t think they do them over here but I’ll check. We really should be thinking about doing this tooooo x

I’m gonna have a thorough read into this as my middle boy, who is 4 in February is still in pull ups at night and is wet in the morning. Ive been putting off ‘going for it’ for a while due to my confidence…..you’re so right…. confident mummy, confident child #TheListLinky

Good to hear! My daughter is 4 and still in nappies (she has special needs) but it’s good to know there are products like this out there for when the time comes. #TheLink

It is really reassuring what you say about setbacks. Youngest is three and has just started pre-school and we recently had a spate of her wetting the bed and I was worried that we were going backwards, now I know why. I am going to get some of these for when we go away at Christmas as I think that she might get unsettled again. #thelist

My two both used Drynites – probably for way longer than they needed to but hey, if it means I don’t have to change bed sheets at 2am it’s worth it! :) #TheListLinky

Both of my girls went through periods of bed wetting & the sheets were a great help keeping the mattresses dry. They both regressed when they started school but are now doing great.

I’ve not heard of these before, they sound great. Do they sell in the US also? My son is a couple of months off 4 and we still put him in a diaper at night. I’ve been wondering how to transition to undies at night, something like this would be great. Although he is potty trained we kept with the diaper at night as he’d been having night waking issues after my daughter was born and after he dropped his nap, so we didn’t want to add to that!! I had been worrying about it, but don’t feel so worried about it now! Thanks for the info. x

I love that cloud pillow. Thankfully nighttimes were the easies for us – N was dry at 2.5 years, but day time he wouldn’t entertain it until he decided he would do it at3 years 3 months!

Well done , Rose! My daughter used pull-ups at night for a few months after being nappy-free during the day, but more often than not they stayed dry, so I eventually plucked up the courage to leave the pull-ups off at night, and so far so good! It’s been nearly two months now and I feel really proud of her! #TheListLinky
