The style edit: Festival skirt and flower crown

Wearing a festival crown

What girl (or mama) doesn’t like a bit of dressing-up? I keep vowing one year I’ll make it to Glastonbury or maybe I’ll get lucky and bag a blogger invite to Camp Bestival but for the mean time this mama is making do with local fiestas and what better way to add a touch of festival chic than a fairy crown!

Flower crown from Rock N Rose

This delightful accessory is the ‘Martha rose crown headband’ from Rock N Rose and is a super fun piece, perfect for special occasions and dressing up. When I do actually get around to wearing it to a real festival (instead of in my back garden!) I might even go all out and paint some hippyish flowers on my cheeks, stick on a pair of denim shorts with Hunter wellies and I’m good to go!

For today my outfit is more wearable, skirt is Topshop (past season) a vibrant coloured ethnic style print, silk mix vest also Topshop and a wardrobe staple might I add. Wedge shoes are Dune.

Printed skirt from Topshop, flower wrist garland

If you don’t want to go the whole hog and don a flower crown-why wouldn’t you? You could always just go for a flower wrist garland instead, also from Topshop.

Did I mention I would like to be a real life fairy and so I may just flounce around my garden in this crown, whenever the mood takes me!

How about you, are you going to any festivals this summer and will you be wearing a flower crown?
