Tintern-Wye Valley

Oh I do love holiday weekends and getting to spend an extra couple of days with Mr T. We had a busy weekend hosting friends for lunch on Sunday which was really lovely and relaxed. I had a little bit of a cheat afternoon from my Bodychef plan and cooked roast lamb with the most huge chocolate Easter cake for dessert (I only had a tiny slice though!) It went down an absolute storm!

Stuffed full of chocolate the older kids caught up with their friends on Easter Monday and so considering we were blessed with the weather; Justin, Rose and I decided to go for a walk in the beautiful Wye Valley.

Just past Tintern Abby we spotted the ruins of some old Iron works, with a stream running near by, waterfalls and a forrest of tall trees that stretched as far as the eye could see. I adore the Wye Valley, it’s so blissfully peaceful and we always have a wonderful time exploring.

I managed to capture some video of our day-Rose even walks for part of it which is a miracle but does spend the majority of the time on her Daddy’s shoulders, poor Daddy!

Here it is if you fancy taking a look at what we got up to…

Your pictures are so fab! Love the contrast in the colours, background and focus. Your Sunday lunch times must have been so much fun and your walks sounds really refreshing. Lovely video too; what memories captured. #PointShoot

My house is right by these iron works. I think it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen, I was drivin through here one day as a 20 something and ended up finding my first house. It’s so lovely to see it through other eyes
