Washed in happiness plus your chance to win your very own FatFace hamper of happiness!

Rose on Mr T’s shoulders at Blaise castle estate

Mr T is getting so spoiled for upcoming Father’s Day, it is his 40th birthday a couple of days after so I think he deserves a treat or two!

A couple of weeks ago we were sent a gorgeous hamper from FatFace containing stacks of goodies. We are both already huge fans of FatFace so the hamper was received with extra eagerness. It was really lovely watching Mr T open his gift as it’s normally me or the kids getting parcels through the post.

FatFace proudly make clothes that reflect happy and healthy lifestyles outside the 9 to 5. They wash the clothes again and again until they have that relaxed ‘old favourite’ feel. It’s been said that FatFace clothes are washed in happiness, and I’d have to agree as they certainly made Mr T one happy chappy, he was chuffed to bits with everything!

Rightly so, who doesn’t love a hamper? Read on for your chance to win one!

There were lots of lovely items in our hamper, including a Trifold leamed leather wallet some rather fetching campervan socks and the cutest little 3D campervan keyring, these items take us back to the days when we actually had a campervan and would go on adventures every other weekend, getting stuck in roads not meant for campervans and being marooned in the middle of a field full of inquisitive cows (don’t ask) ah the memories…

I’ll stop reminiscing and get back to the clothes! The fit of FatFace clothing is spot on, it’s actually one of my fav shops and only one of about 3 shops that Mr T will regularly buy clothes for himself from because he knows that they will fit. He’s broad chested and shouldered from years of weightlifting but narrower on the hips; a large top bought in FatFace fits him perfectly without being too baggy around the middle.

In case you hadn’t noticed, Mr T is a huge fan of trilby hats so he was really pleased to see the navy brim trilby included in the hamper. I would have to say the striped Airlie Breton top is his favourite item because he’s worn it so much already so that’s a pretty good tell-tale sign that he loves it. It’s perfect teamed with the marl crew neck t-shirt underneath this is one of those classic essential pieces that you can never have too many of.

Regular readers here will know we’re Mark Warner ambassadors this year and our first holiday to Greece is coming up in July (yay!). We’ll be checking suitcases as well as hand luggage so the Eddie canvas rucksack we were sent will be excellent for Mr T to carry essentials, there’s a strong inner lining that will keep items like passports safe. The rucksack is bang on trend thanks to the khaki colour and real leather straps and such amazing quality for the price. I love the ruggedness of the canvass, it looks as though it will last for years.

With the weather being so perfect lately, we popped over to Blaise Castle Estate one evening so Mr T could road test his new threads. We are so lucky to have this beautiful place on our doorstep and have walked there lots of times, this particular evening we took a different route around the estate and found a walkway full of trees absolutely covered in pink flowers it was incredible!

We also found a clearing where you could look down into the valley below as far as the eye can see. We took it in turns clinging on to Rose (there were no barriers, eeek!) and had a look out over the edge, it was very high and quite scary but also wonderfully calm and serene all at once.

Mr T rocking the vintage sunglasses/trilby hat look! Both items are going to come in so handy when we’re away on our holidays.

We had such a beautiful evening and ended up walking about 3 miles in total. Well, we walked and Rose spent most of the time on Mr T’s shoulders!

Oh it is Mr C’s birthday this Thursday and I still don’t know what I am buying him – eeeeks! This hamper looks great and I really want to enter but I don’t know if Fat Face would count Jersey coming under the Uk, some companies do and some don’t! Great prize though with lots of lovely goodies :-)

This is timely – I’ve just spent about a zillion pounds in FatFace today after telling my other half I was just “popping in for a quick browse”. Oops. I adore their clothes though for all the family – particularly the kids! Entered and fingers crossed! x
