What’s happening with Mr & Mrs T Plus Three: 28th Jan

Oh hello Friday, you are most welcome this week! Gosh, the days just passed by in a blur lately. Before we know it, it will be summer and that is good because I am so bored of all this rain.

Here’s what’s happening with Mr & Mrs T Plus Three this week…

BLOG LIFE

  • I’ve been busy working on a big collaboration this week which sees the start of my blogging relationship with Tefal. You will be seeing weekly recipes from me from now on so watch this space.
  • I hit 7000 followers on Instagram which was really rather lovely because I love Instagram.
  • It seems to be a week of numbers as my Twitter numbers hit my Jan target when I hit the 12,000 mark.
  • I’ve been busy with freelance work as always but have set aside some time for Pinterest this week. Pinterest is my weakest social media in terms of blog traffic so it is my goal to go through each of my posts and make them extra ‘pinworthy’ and see if I can up my game over there. Any tips most welcome!
  • On Monday I co-hosted a Twitter chat for BritMums which was fab, I really enjoy Twitter chats and they are a great way to get to know other bloggers. I’m co-hosting one for Tots100 in a couple of weeks which I will be blogging about soon. There’s always an incentive for tweeters at the chats, so do join in if you can. You also never know which brands and PRs are watching, I was contacted after the BritMums one for some social media management work so it’s worth it if you have the time.
  • Reviews I’ve shared this week: Tefal Cuisine Companion and a Print on Wood by WhiteWall
  • My favourite post to write this week was: A Rose by any other name…a serendipitous encounter.

Beautiful pink rose

HOME LIFE

  • We are all FINALLY feeling better, thank goodness! The sickness, bugs and colds had wiped us all out and completely knocked me for six, however, we really are all good this week which has meant I have been so much more productive at home.
  • Holly and I had a movie night and watched The Pursuit of Happiness I have seen it before but just watching how touched Holly was by the film made me bawl my eyes, we both were! Such a beautiful film and an absolute must-see.
  • Talking of movie/tv watching, can someone please explain to me the obsession over Making a Murderer? I have watched about 3/4 of the first episode and I’m just not feeling it..dare I say I think it’s rubbish (runs and ducks for cover) Is it a grower because I feel like I may be missing out. PS please don’t hate me if you love it, I just don’t get it!
  • Lewis took me on a lunch date yesterday, we went to Nandos and it was lovely. He will be 17 in June and I can’t really wrap my head around where all the years have gone. It’s totally lush to have your son take you out to lunch though. I ended up giving him 20 quid but it’s the thought that counts, right?
  • Rose has been singing in French all week her song of choice is ‘Docteur, Docteur’ it is cute and hilarious. She loves it when we all laugh and join in with the actions. We’ve been going to a French class once a week since she was 6 weeks old and it’s only now she seems to be really picking it up.
  • Mr T has bought the tiles for the ensuite bathroom and work is underway, yippee! The main bedroom is nearly finished and I’ve been watching numerous YouTube videos on dressing rooms and makeup storage and I am so excited to kit it all out and be completely organised. I promise I’ll share the pics and some video when it’s all done, hopefully not long now as I am growing tired of sleeping in the dining room!

That’s all from me this week. What have you all been up to?

OMG Amy, ME TOO (in regards to Making a Murderer). I think my workmate would quite like to clobber me for getting to episode 4 and deciding to abandon it. I just wasn’t feeling it. So you’re not alone! I think some people watch it for the viral factor of how popular it has been but no one wants to admit they weren’t as engrossed as everyone else. #TheList

Ive always been slow to catch up with the latest tv trends, so much so that its taken me to this christmas to actually see an episode of Game of Thrones. Now im an addict, so my week has been spent (in between blogging) cramming as many episodes as possible, to catch up before April. #Thelist

What?! It’s AMAZING!!! I bloody loved Making A Murderer and after caning the entire series in two days I spent the next two days signing petitions and researching the current situation. It’s just so shocking and corrupt. Keep watching and see what happens to the 17 year old boy…you will be appalled!! Appalled I tell you!!xx

What a fab week you’ve had!

Regarding Making a Murderer – I felt episode one was hard work, and wanted to bang my head against a wall a few times as I couldn’t believe the police were able to get away with it for so long.

If you can make it half way through episode two it starts picking up.. but I really don’t know how it can stretch to ten episodes long. I’m finding it interesting at the moment but think that interest will wane by episode five. Xxx #thelist

great news on your instagram stats, its my favourite social media platform by far. I’m not feeling the Pinterest love either so if you nail it, please could you write a blog post! Your son sounds lovely, my 15 year old can barely stretch to more than 3 words in a conversation so a lunch date would kill him. #thelist

It’s fantastic news that you are seeing benefits from taking part in Twitter chats. You are right, you never know who might be watching! Thank goodness the bugs have passed in your house. I’m shaking one off at the moment – I’m as snotty as the kids for once! It’s made for a bit of a slow week but somehow I”ve managed to post more on my blog. Next week will be slow!! #thelist

I’m so impressed that you and Rose go to French lessons – ou la la :) I would love to re-learn French, I just don’t retain it unless I practice but my God son is half French – he must think I’m dumbo Aunty Mimmy! I’m so excited about your Tefal partnershipship, can’t wait to see your recipes :) well done lady x x #TheList

Glad you are feeling better, I seem to have been constantly ill since christmas too. I watched some of that murder thing and have to say I don’t have the time for that kind of stuff. I did watch a program about the kid gamer who got murdered and I made my 16 year old son watch it too as it could have easily been him. The boy lived not far from us and I still can’t believe the murderer has written 2 blog posts on blogger to defend himself whilst he is in prison. Absolutely shocking!

I’m not brave enough to watch Making a Murderer. I feel like my stomach can’t take it so it is a no go for me. Congrats on hitting 7000 Instagram and 1200 on Twitter. Wow! That’s amazing! My boy is turning 5 in 3 weeks – I don’t know how that just happened – I don’t know how I am going to cope when they are a teenager – then their 17/18/19 and so on… mummy’s love and worries just never ends. xx
