Living Arrows is a weekly photography project hosted by Hayley at Shutterflies. The aim is to capture the beauty and magic of childhood in a photograph. The following excerpt from the passage written by Kahil Gibran is one of the most poignant pieces about childhood I've read and sums this project up perfectly;
''You are the bows from your children as living arrows are sent forth''
Practising Simplicity-the 52 project is hosted by Jodi and is a weekly portrait project. I am a huge admirer of Jodi's blog and photography and I'm really going to enjoy joining in with this each week. I hope I can develop my photography skills over the coming year...
This is a photograph of my beautiful niece Isabelle. She came to stay with us over Christmas and New Year and I didn't get to properly enjoy her as I was quite poorly. Luckily we managed to get out for a walk and I got some lovely snaps of her enjoying herself in the wintry afternoon sun, exploring the grounds at Dyrham Park in Bath. Unfortunately we didn't see any real deer this time but we found this wooden one!

Ah lovely photo! She looks toasty all bundled up in that scarf. :-) I love Dyrham Park and used to visit as often as possible when I worked in Bath.
Amy
I love it there Vickie-apparently from May you can go up on the roof of the house the views must be incredible from up there I can't wait!

Lovely photo. I'm loving your niece's style - summer skirt while all wrapped up in layers and scarf
Amy
She always dresses so cute-that was my sister's scarf because I don't think she realised quite how cold it would be there! x
Sian
Looks like a happy outing - I adore her scarf. We had a fun - very hot - afternoon at Dyrham Park on our way back from Cornwall a few years ago. I hope you are feeling better now.
Amy
I am feeling so much better now, thank you Sian. xx
