Hello and welcome back to The Style Edit. Apologies that this wasn’t published last Friday as usual but I was organising a charity campaign that some of you might have seen trending on social media!
A couple of weeks ago I was sent this amazing piece from a collection by contemporary designer Jungwon-inspired by living and working in New York, these minimalist garments offer a high quality finish that are waterproof, windproof, wrinkle free and breathable.
Jungwon have dressed the likes of Sam Smith and members of Rudimental and I can see why these uber cool celebs are endorsing this fantastic brand. The design says urban chic to me and is incredibly on-trend whilst retaining its functionality.
The vivid orange colour is right up my street in terms of fashionably standing out from the crowd, I do get bored from wearing the same old black waterproof jacket. When my Jungwon raincoat arrived I was so delighted I actually wanted it to rain! Perfect to be worn at this transitional time of year, when the seasons are changing and there’s a good chance you will get wet. The material is so light, yet completely rain and windproof and was put through its paces on a recent weekend walk around the howling hills of Wales. I remained totally warm and dry-I even got compliments from fellow walkers who stopped to watch as I clambered through the undergrowth to pose in my jacket amongst the ferns and trees. One lady even took the name of my blog down so she could see this post and how the pics turned out!
I can see myself popping this jacket on over a winter jumper, as it is so light and comfortable and the orange colour will certainly brighten up a dull and grey winters day, I am pleased to say it will definitely become a wardrobe staple.
Jungwon RAIN 323 Jacket available in Black, Yellow and Orange
Here’s a video featuring the outfit I wore to interview Denise Van Outen and Mark Heyes at Bristol Fashion Week
What do you think of this jacket, do you like wearing bright colours?
