    {The ordinary moments} #2 'pooh sticks'

IMG_2846Sometimes the old games are the best games, and throwing little sticks into the water and watching the bubbling stream carry them away is one of the nicest games there is. Nothing fancy, no technology, no one keeping score just an ordinary game of pooh sticks on a Sunday afternoon. Heaven.

That's lovely. I used to adore playing pooh sticks as a child, I don't do it often enough with my little girl, I must start to play that more with her.xx

Pooh sticks is one of life's great pleasures - one of our favourite parks has a little stream and a bridge just perfect for pooh sticks - but it needs to be a winter game for there to be enough water around, as we've learned to our cost after some very very slow games!

Haha yes I can imagine Carie also leaves and rocks don't work so well as Rose discovered!

Ah this takes me back, both to my own childhood and to good old Blighty! I'm sure Italian kids throw sticks in streams too, but only in the UK are they called Pooh Sticks. Lovely.
